Social Housing Project – Slave Lake

Building Type

Multi-Tenant Residential / Affordable Housing

Hightlights

These two three storey buildings are broken into modules in order to have a lighter architectural look and residential scale. From the facades it appears that each module has its own pitched roof. The entrance of each building is projected from the facade to emphasize the strategic access point and encourage pedestrian interactions. A green bio-climatic corridor is situated across the middle of the site and connects the two buildings as well as green spaces on the site to an existing park. This corridor provides residents with pedestrian and bicycle paths while connecting the site to the larger community.
