Kickstand is an organization that provides a hub for youth seeking free mental health counselling, substance use counselling, peer support, indigenous wellness services, employment support and primary health care services. Besides being a base for supportive services, Kickstand opens it's doors to provide a gathering space and community for local youth. L7 Architecture has hosted a visioning session with local youths and worked with Kickstand to develop a set of standards and guidelines to be used throughout all Alberta locations. L7 has also helped to develop several of the new locations in Alberta including Medicine Hat, Grande Prairie, Spruce Grove, Drayton Valley, Fort Saskatchewan, Samson Cree and Bonnyville. These spaces include youth hubs, a communal kitchen, recovery cafe, talking rooms, medical rooms, washrooms and storage spaces.
