The concept for this 8,030sqft office was based off the quote “For as long as the sun shines, the grass grows, and the river flows”. Nature and indigenous symbolism were key elements of the design concept, which was achieved through colour, imagery and materials. The colour palette was inspired by soft, natural neutrals and accented with yellow for the sun, green for the grass, and blue for the river. Both natural and artificial woodgrains were used throughout to bring warmth to the space and to connect the occupants with the nature around them. Imagery of animals with significance to indigenous culture in this area was also used in select locations to celebrate the history of the land and the people, and as a reminder of our responsibility to care for and preserve the land we reside on, and the creatures and people we share it with.
