THE BASICS

What are you happiest doing when you’re not working?

Listening to (and making) music, drawing with pencil or pastel, swimming, eating good food, and exploring new places with friends and family.

Where did you grow up?

Hamilton, Ontario (whether or not that’s the GTA is up to you!).

Who or what inspired(s) you to pursue your profession?

I have been immersed in the visual and performing arts my whole life, so the design field was something that was intuitive for me to pursue. Combined with my interest in math and physics, I found architecture to be the perfect union of my passions – a creative outlet that is grounded in reality and defined by us humans and our interactions.

THE RANDOM

Do you have any hidden talents?

I can sing the highest part of the “Queen of the Night” aria, play the French horn, and wiggle my ears – I can’t smile without them moving!

What are three words that best describe you?

Ambitious, detail-oriented, and easy-going (I try).

How would you describe your position?

As a second-year university student, I am just beginning to dabble into the professional realm of architecture, meaning everyday is an opportunity to broaden my skill set and learn something new – ranging from model-making to learning the ins and outs of technical drawing (and trying to decipher the building code).

What are some small things that make you happy?

A good bowl of noodles, cute stationery, funky decor, taking pictures when the lighting is just right, stormy weather, and the smell of gasoline.

What is on your bucket list?

Learning film photography, performing in a band/acapella group, living in different countries for work, road-tripping to every Canadian province/territory, sewing my own clothes, becoming an amazing cook, and building a beautiful house for my family and I one day… to name a few.

Architecture-wise, I would love to explore exhibition/installation design and urban planning at an extremely large scale.
